ACCOUNTANT NEEDED

Job Title: Accountant
Location: Owerri
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for update and maintenance of cashbook
o Manage the day to day accounting functions of the company
o Prepare for management, monthly accounting report and bank reconciliation statement
o Maintain petty cash float including issuing cash, balancing float and preparing monthly reconciliations.
o Banking of cash and cheques in a timely manner.
o Liaise with banks and external organizations regarding funds received
Skill/Requirements
• Minimum of HND/BSc in Accounting, or any relevant field
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience
• Must be conversant with Microsoft Excel and at least one Accounting software e.g. QuickBooks, Peachtree, Sage etc.
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be self-motivated
• Must have the ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Candidate must be resident in Owerri
