Vacancy for SSCE holders as an Assistant Baker @ Ajah, Lagos.

Job description

We are looking for hard-working individual to join our award-winning baking team. An ideal candidate will have maximum of SSCE and minimum of 6 months experience in a professional baking kitchen.
Experience in baking breads is preferred and the successful applicant MUST be resident in Ajah area.
We are a nationally recognized and tight knit team of bakers, looking to find someone who loves baking as much as we do. We want the best of the best to join our team- preferably highly motivated individual who have passion for bread baking.

Responsibility
1. Assist to mix and bake ingredients to produce breads -(Family loaf, coconut, wheat etc)
2. Assist to check products for quality and identify damaged or expired goods.
3. Assist to set oven temperatures and place items into hot ovens for baking.
4. Assist to adjust temperature controls of ovens or other heating equipment.
5. Help combine measured ingredients in bowls of mixing, blending, or cooking machinery.
6. Help to load materials into production equipment.
7. Assist to set time and speed controls for mixing machines, blending machines, or steam kettles so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions.
8. Assist to operate cooking, baking, or other food preparation equipment.
9. Assist to place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets and bake in production ovens or on grills.
10. Assist the master baker to operate cooking, baking, or other food preparation equipment.
11. Assist the master baker measure or weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, or icings, using scales or graduated containers.
12. Assist the master baker measure ingredients or substances to be used in production processes.
13. Assist the master baker to observe color of products being baked and adjust oven temperatures, humidity, or conveyor speeds accordingly.
14. Assist the master baker inspect food products.
Adjust temperature controls of ovens or other heating equipment.
15. Assist monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning.
Clean production equipment.
Learn to apply glazes, icings, or other toppings to baked goods, using spatulas or brushes.
Learn to apply protective or decorative finishes to workpieces or products.
Decorate baked goods, such as bread.
Learn to apply protective or decorative finishes to workpieces or products.
Learn to operate slicing or wrapping machines.
Operate cutting equipment.
Roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form bread, or other products.
Learn to shape clay or dough to create products.
Direct or coordinate bakery deliveries.
With the instruction of the master baker, order or receive supplies or equipment.
With the instruction of the master baker, order materials, supplies, or equipment.
Prepare or maintain inventory or production records.
Record operational or production data.
Job Requirements
Minimum of one (1) month and maximum of six 6 months experience as a bread baker in a professional kitchen preferred
Maximum of SSCE
Experience with family loaf, coconut and wheat bread etc preferred
Weekend availability required
Passion to learn and master baking
Excellent interpersonal relationship, organizational and oral/verbal communication skills.
